our story

We are Alfonso and Indre,  the founders of Collana Verde. Our journey began with the search for a home in the Italian countryside for a quieter life surrounded by nature, far from the pace of busy London. In Campania, where Alfonso is from, we fell in love with a beautiful, terraced hillside overlooking the sea, with an olive grove, a small vineyard, and other fruit trees. 

The previous owner, Gennaro, dedicated his life, as did his father and grandfather before him, to caring for the olive grove and producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil for the local community.

We continue this tradition by farming organically, working in harmony with nature and guided by the biodiversity of the land. The richness of the volcanic soil and the unique setting, over 400m in altitude and close to the sea, are the perfect ingredients to produce an excellent olive oil which we share with an ever-growing Collana Verde community in the UK.

Our energy is focused on restoring and nurturing the land for future generations. Over the years we have planted more than three hundred new trees on neighbouring abandoned terraces that we bought.

We are working towards completing our house project so we can live permanently on the farm and welcome guests. We hope to create a place where people can connect with nature, discover the traditions of local olive farming, and experience the unique beauty of Collana Verde and northern Campania.
